Wembdon Cricket Club
Welcome to Wembdon Cricket Club
Wembdon CC is situated on the edge of Wembdon and the Town of Bridgwater.
A long established expanding club in both mens, women and youth cricket. Wembdon CC is a Focus club which has been re-accredited the Club Mark Award for the second time. (2009)This will enable the club to grow further funding and improving practice and playing facilities.
Wembdon has had it's share of success over the years with it's Under 13's winning a national competition and more recently in 2007 the club was awarded Somerset club of the year when all 3 senior sides were promoted from their repective divisions.
On Saturday afternoons Wembdon CC now consist of 4 senior sides the 1stXI play in West of England Premier League Somerset Division and are looking to progress in 2010 to next level of the pyramid.The 2ndXI play in the 1st Division of the Somerset 2ndXI competition. Our Wyvern and Academy sides also play in there respective divisions in the Somerset League.
Wembdon CC also run two Sunday XI sides in the Mid Wessex Cricket League and the newly formed Somerset County Sports Taunton and District League. In the Mid Wessex league we are currently unbeaten for two consecutive season winning back to back titles and in 2010 will be competing in Division 1.
Wembdon CC also compete in the nPower National Village Cup, reaching the Avon & Somerset final stage in 2009. Wembdon CC are also represented in the Somerset Major and Minor Cups.
Wembdon CC has a thriving youth set up with children from 6 upwards involved and welcome. The Junior Section runs teams at Under 9, Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15 levels in the Taunton & District Youth League.
Outdoor Training will commence in April and day's and times will be posted on here when decided. In door nets will start after x-mas senior dates can be found on this website, youth dates to follow.

2010 Summer Holidays, Cricket Camp
From 2nd August - 6th August during school summer holidays for boys and girls aged between 5 and 13 years of age.
There will be space for approx. 30 (TBC) children which will be reserved on a first come first served basis.
We will be providing a range of cricket based activities, games, skills and drills for all abilities with the aim of improving player standards and emphasis on having fun.
The camp will be overseen by qualified coach(s) who have the required child protection, first aid and CRB certificates.
